Social Media Marketing Your Business
Whether you’re currently using Social Media to market your business, or considering it for the first time, this page should provide you with some fresh, new insights. You’ll also have access to a free PDF presentation on Social Media Marketing.
Before we get into the nitty-gritty, keep this in mind: No matter what the size of your business, you can easily fit social media marketing into your budget. For instance, you can boost a Facebook post for your business for as little as $1/day and greatly expand your reach. We’ve seen some $1 drip campaigns reach as many as 5400 people a month with 850 website clicks. While this may be the exception, it should give you an idea of the possibilities.
Now for some basic marketing definitions. We’ll call them The Big Three, although there are really only two.
Social Media Marketing
This is a marketing strategy in which your goal is to increase website traffic and/or draw attention to your business through social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, etc. Your efforts are centered on creating content that attracts the viewers attention and encourages them to share it across their social networks.”
Engagement Marketing
The keyword here is “engaged.” You goal is to directly engage with your customers in such a way that they’ll become a loyal part of your brand. Some examples are loyalty programs, social media contests, actively collecting and responding to customer feedback, sponsorships, etc.
Experiential Marketing
This is just another word for Engagement Marketing, with the keyword now being “experience.” Here you can let your creativity go to the max as you strive to give your customer a great experience that’s associated with your brand.
The Goal for Small Businesses
Bottom line, you’re going to want to provide a socially engaging experience for all of your clients and future clients. The current digital and non-digital tools you have at your disposal are website automation, email marketing, social media, text messaging, that old standby, the phone call, and your own creativity. When using these tools, keep these five principles in mind.
